Senior AI & GenAI Architect (Lisbon or Porto)

We are looking for a Senior AI & GenAI Architect to integrate the team of our client – a reference company in the energy sector.

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities? 

• Lead GenAI initiatives by defining technical standards, designing scalable and secure LLM/RAG/multi-agent architectures, and managing technical teams to maximize business value;
• Oversee integration of generative models into enterprise applications, collaborating closely with Data, AI, and Engineering teams to align with business needs;
• Drive innovation by exploring new GenAI technologies, leveraging cloud-based (preferably Azure) CI/CD and DevOps practices, and fostering strategic opportunities;
• Ensure quality technical documentation, promote effective communication with stakeholders, and support solution design for optimal user experience.

What is required from you?

·      Academic background in Computer Engineering, Information Systems Management or other similar areas;

• 6 to 10 years of professional experience in software development, data engineering, or technology solution architecture, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and digital transformation;
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in GenAI and LLMs, including the design and implementation of solutions based on generative models, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and multi-agent architectures;
• Proven experience in cloud system architecture (preferably Azure, though AWS or GCP are also valued), including API integration, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices orchestration;
• Track record of technical leadership or mentoring development teams in AI/GenAI projects, ensuring best practices and delivery of tangible business value.
• Experience integrating AI models into products or applications (frontend/backend), working collaboratively with Data Science and MLOps teams;
• Strong knowledge of development frameworks and languages, such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and C#, as well as vector databases;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
