In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the system to meet organizational needs, ensuring efficient workflows, and providing data insights to support strategic decisions. This position requires a deep understanding of Workday HCM and Time & Attendance functionality, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with HR and cross-functional teams to drive solutions that enhance the employee experience.
Responsibilities
- System Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain Workday HCM and Time Attendance modules, including setup of accruals, leave plans, eligibility rules, and related business processes.
- Business Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize business processes within the HCM and Time Attendance modules to improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
- Requirements Gathering & Solution Design: Work with HR and other stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into Workday configurations, and implement solutions aligned with business needs.
- Reporting & Data Management: Create and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to provide insights into Time Off balances, usage trends, and compliance with company policies.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing of configurations, troubleshoot issues, and support Workday updates to ensure system accuracy and reliability.
- End-User Support & Training: Provide end-user support to HR, Payroll, and managers, addressing questions and troubleshooting system issues. Offer training on new functionalities and best practices for using the Time Off and HCM modules.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all configurations meet regulatory and compliance standards and maintain documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Workday releases and updates, recommending enhancements that could improve the efficiency and functionality of HCM and Time Off processes. Team with HR to understand business needs and develop creative solutions to continually apply technology to make employee experience better and continue to improve business processes
- Global Collaboration: Work with all HR technology team members worldwide to create consistency in Business Processes, Reporting, Security and Employee Experience.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in Workday configuration and support, with a focus on HCM and Time modules.
- Proven experience in system configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Workday HCM, Time and Absence Management.
- Proficiency in Workday Reporting, Calculated Fields, and Business Process Framework.
- Experience with EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builder) for data loads and data management.
- Excellent communication skills for translating technical information into practical user guidance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Workday Pro certification in HCM, Time and Absence Management.
- Experience in a similar role within a large or fast-growing organization.
- Familiarity with other Workday modules
