IT Business Analyst

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join the team of our client – a reference company in the retail sector who is creating a new IT Hub in Portugal.

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?

• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and product/technology teams, being able to lead workshops, gathering requirements and aligning them with organization objectives;
• Translate needs into actionable artifacts (user stories, mock-ups, process diagrams, acceptance criteria) and partner with the Product Owner to refine and prioritize the backlog to maximize value;
• Support delivery and quality: assess technical feasibility with architects, support development teams during sprints, prepare test cases, and coordinate with QA;
• Manage change impacts, dependencies, and risks; create training and communication materials for adoption; contribute to the BA community and analytical standards.

What is required from you?

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems or a related field;
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment;
• Solid knowledge in requirements gathering, process modelling, and functional documentation;
• Experience working in different methodologies: Agile and waterfall;
• Knowledge of the product lifecycle and iterative delivery processes;
• Experience in the retail industry and understanding of areas such as customer journey, omnichannel, and business models (nice to have);
• Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills;
• Proactiveness, independence, strong organizational skills, and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment;
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
