IT Project Manager - SAP Implementation

We are looking for a IT Project Manager - SAP Implementation to join the team of our client – a reference company in the automotive sector who is creating a new IT Hub in Portugal.

What will be your main tasks and responsibilities?

• Lead the SAP implementation project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through go-live and stabilization
• Manage timelines, budget, resources, risks, and dependencies
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors
• Prepare and lead Steering Committee (SteerCo) meetings, ensuring clear and structured reporting
• Establish and promote PMO best practices
• Coordinate integration across multiple SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.)

Ensure proper change management activities and end-user training

What is required from you?

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management
• Proven experience delivering large-scale SAP implementations
• Background in industrial environments (preferably automotive)
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Fluent English
• Availability to work on-site in Setúbal 4 days per week
• Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or equivalent (plus)
• Experience working with SAP system integrators
• Solid understanding of key SAP modules
